On September 25, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that about 20,000 of these pads are being recalled. Just one instance has been reported where a child suffered second-degree burns from this product!
How to Identify the Recalled Pads
If you think you might have one, check for a thin, black gel pad with the Hoovy logo in white on the bottom right corner. The pad measures about 16.5 inches by 14.25 inches. You might have bought it at Target or Walmart for about $20 to $25 between March and July 2025.
